Not great if squeaky textures are a trigger. As someone on the spectrum, the material this is made of sets off negative sensory feedback for me, so if rubber is a sensory issue, I would not recommend. Otherwise seems perfectly durable for what it does.

I have an in home daycare and a boy who just needs something to fidget with. Typically he would choose to chew on his shirt or rip apart his socks of he’s concentrating on something. He started to tear apart the arm of my office chair when I decided to purchase the Desk Buddy. It’s working wonderfully! Any time I catch him chewing on his shirt or something I remind him to get his Desk Buddy and he’ll take that and either fidget with it or chew on it for quite a while.
